With a heart full of compassion and service, Poojan Charitable Trust successfully conducted its 38th social welfare camp at Swami Nivas Vrudhashram, Paud Gaon. The camp was dedicated to bringing care, comfort, and smiles to elderly residents and needy people from nearby areas.
The day began with a comprehensive eye check-up camp where many senior citizens underwent vision screening. Needy patients identified with cataract issues were offered support for free cataract operations, giving them hope to see the world more clearly again.
Along with eye care, a general medical health check-up was conducted for all participants. Essential health parameters such as weight, blood pressure, and other medical conditions were carefully examined. Free medicines were distributed to patients based on their health needs, ensuring that treatment and care reached those who often struggle to afford it.
Beyond medical support, the camp focused equally on emotional well-being. The atmosphere soon transformed into one of joy and togetherness as Hindi and Marathi songs were sung for the elderly residents. Many seniors smiled, clapped, and joined in the singing, reliving beautiful memories from their younger days. Those precious moments reminded everyone that care is not only about medicines, but also about bringing happiness and human connection into someone’s life.
Snacks were lovingly distributed to all participants, making the gathering even warmer and more festive.
The camp was a small yet meaningful effort to remind every elderly person that they are respected, valued, and never alone.
Poojan Charitable Trust remains committed to serving humanity with compassion, dignity, and care — one camp, one smile, and one life at a time.
